For Bosch-powered ebikes, the Bosch Power Connector provides reliable power and connectivity for the Gen 2 Shifter via the front headlight port on older Bosch ebike mid-drive motors or the new Smart System HPP or 4-pole accessory port. A Bosch firmware update may be required to ensure that the port output is 12v and the port is automatically on when the bike is powered up.

Very easy installation.

No big problems with the installation.
I changed the contact to a Hico 2-wire to connect to my 12V system on my Mate X (I knew I would have to when ordering the part).
The only problem with the installation was figuring out the folded latch. Could be clearly indicated in the pictures (unless I missed that).
Great to have the shifter start when I turn the batteries on.
